It's a little less than 5 hours until the new year, two thousand fifteen...
I watched "Tiny Furniture" the other day, in the spirit of my binge watching all things that are Lena Dunham. It was great to see the connection between the characters in the movie, the TV show and also to see how she incorporates real life events and stories from her experiences, like her YouTube video "The Fountain" referenced in this article:
"In the age of excessive air-brushing, there's something refreshing about Dunham's unintentional celebration of ordinariness thanks to her exhibitionist streak."
It reminded me of the time my friend Michele took me to Bonny Doon / Davenport beach side for the first time. She waits until we have driven the ~hour long journey, parked the car and walking up to the beach when she says, "By the way, did I mention this was a nude beach?"
Despite the optional clothing, the creepiest thing was the most 'naked' person on the beach was an average, middle aged man who decided to go 'bottomless' while keeping his t-shirt on. He spent his time watching families and touching himself and then periodically jogging back and forth in front of everyone who were staring out towards the ocean, in a "LOOK AT ME!" nonchalance.
How disappointed the adolescent males must have been to see the obvious absence of any porn star / Victoria's Secret models showing off their tatas, and simply left with an unimpressive penis bouncing by every now and then.
